SOCIAL MEDIA BACKGROUND CHECK
Protect Your Reputation

Get peace of mind with a clear and comprehensive
look at the digital footprint of your team

What is a Social Media Background Check?

A social media background check reviews an individual’s public online activity.
It scans 200+ platforms (including Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, X/Twitter, TikTok, blogs, and e-commerce sites) to analyse posts, comments, shares, videos, and media mentions for potential risks or red flags.

This pre-employment check enables you to identify risks based on the applicant’s permanent digital footprint.

The social media check can portray a more holistic and honest understanding of the applicant’s character and (anti) social behaviour, beyond the resume and interview.

Why Conduct a Social Media Check

  • Protect your organisation’s brand and reputation
  • Ensure informed hiring decisions that are not ‘blind-sighted’
  • Identify inappropriate, offensive or risky content on candidate’s digital footprints
  • Improve compliance with corporate culture, company policies and industry regulations
  • Due diligence through a fast, automated review

How Does It Work?

We use advanced AI technology to analyse public online content across social media, blogs, forums, and other digital platforms, flagging high-risk behaviours such as:

  • Hate speech
  • Threats of violence
  • Explicit or inappropriate content
  • Drug or alcohol related posts
  • Discriminatory language
  • Illegal activity
  • Membership of anti-social networks, nationally and globally

The social media background check results are reviewed by our analysts for accuracy and context.
